Catherine Akins '13 accepted a position at City Arts located in Station North Art & Entertainment District as Resident Service Coordinator/Gallery Manager. Akins will facilitate programs relevant to the residents and support the efforts of Gallery CA, a space devoted to showcasing local, national, and international artists.

Gabrielle Buzgo '13 works part time at Evergreen Museum & Library as the Museum Coordinator, where she oversees weekend operations and develops programs, and full time at University of Maryland Baltimore County as the Visual & Performing Arts Admissions Counselor. Buzgo has also been invited to contribute her thesis work to the Art Beyond Site Museum Institute in NYC for both their national museum studies curriculum and their annual Teleophone Conference Crash Course on museum accessibility.

Allison Gulick '13 is currently working for MICA’s Office of Community Engagement (OCE). The OCE works to build effective campus/community partnerships, provides tools and resources, and supports the creation of best practices for both students and the community. In addition to her work at OCE Allison is independently curating and helping launch The Feminist Art Project in Baltimore.

Deana Haggag '13 has been appointed the Director of The Contemporary, located in Baltimore. The nomadic arts museum was founded by Curatorial Practice Director George Ciscle in 1989. Haggag's appointment follows her tenure and thesis work at Gallery CA and MICA.

Hyejung Jang ‘13 works as an independent curator between New York City and Baltimore. Recently she curated Strangers at Guest Spot and More Love Hours Than Can Ever at Koban Project in Baltimore, also co-organized KAFNNY.2: Visual + Media Art at The Sylvia Wald and Po Kim Art Gallery in New York. Jang was selected for the 2013 No Longer Empty Curatorial LAB and co-curated Through the Parlor in New York’s Chinatown.
